Can members of the public visit the House of Commons?
Yes. I can obtain tickets for visits to the House of Commons and the House of Lords, although these are sometimes in great demand and it is not always possible to get tickets for the day you want
them. If you would like tickets for one of the galleries, please telephone my Westminster office on 0207 219 6824 and I will try to arrange these for you. I can also arrange tours of the
House of Lords and the House of Commons and up Big Ben with an official tour guide. Tours are free of charge but must be booked through my office. Please email me at bayleyh@parliament.uk for more information.
How do I nominate somebody for an honour? Nominations may be made by any person(s) by completing a nomination form and forwarding it to the Nominations Unit at the Cabinet
Office. There are no deadlines for the receipt of nomination forms but their consideration is likely to take at least 12 to 18 months. It is normal for awards to be made to people who are still
active in the areas to which their nomination relates. Honours Lists are published at New Year and on the Queen's Birthday. Nominators will need to check the published list in national newspapers
to see if their nominee is successful. Nomination forms can be obtained either from my office or by writing to: The Nominations Unit, Ceremonial Branch, Cabinet Office, Ashley House, 2 Monck
Street, London SW1P 2BQ (tel.020 7276 2777).
How can I get Hugh Bayley to come and talk to my local group?
It is important that I keep in touch with local organisations and I am always happy to come and meet groups that are based in the York constituency, for example, disability groups, pensioners'

The Parliamentary Ombudsman investigates complaints by members of the public who have suffered an injustice through maladministration by government departments or certain public bodies. Usually the
Ombudsman expects you first to have put your complaint to the department or body concerned. If you want to complain to the Ombudsman, you MUST do this through your MP. Further details can be
obtained from your MP's office or from the Ombudsman's office at Church House, Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3BW, telephone 020 7276 2130.

(01904) 551050 or 552032, and ask them to send you an application form. Alternatively contact York Labour Party on (01904) 622925, or email me on bayleyh@parliament.uk for an application form.
